Beauty standards have always been existed but thinness and the goal to become thinner and thinner has only been around in the last 20-30 years.
We starve ourselves to become a perfect size. We try to fix something outside of ourselves but we can’t really fix something we can’t see.
Aiming for thinness for the purpose of getting a life we think we deserve is a disease of it’s own. And what needs surgery is the soul.
Because there will be always next to you who also feel imperfect in his/her body and will make you to feel bad about your body.
The bottom of the problem is that eventually how can you expect to someone to love you if you don’t love yourself?
Even more so, you can’t love others if you don’t love yourself.
You have to be happy with yourself.
What’s on the inside that counts, where you can embrace the real you and who you are including loving yourself just the way you are.
Wanting to be perfect is an emotional and mental health issue, which can lead to anxiety, eating disorders or depression.
When you heal your soul, you find inner peace. And with inner peace comes great rewards such as letting go of body image issues or feeling addicted to food.
